Drawing from the Roman adaptation of the ancient Greek mosaic Unswept Floor, this latching doorknob by interior designer Sally Breer reimagines the overlooked debris of daily life as objects of permanence and reverence. Each doorknob is cast in solid, unlacquered brass in Los Angeles from a clay peach hand-sculpted by Breer. No two are alike — each piece bears the imprint of both hand and memory.
