Seelie Knob

Description

The Seelie knob is designed and made by the Los Angeles artist Antonia Pinter, one half of the duo A History of Frogs. With these hardware pieces, Pinter summons goblin elegance, embracing the imperfection that gives objects life and energy. Each is hand sculpted in wax, using a combined technique of carving and melting to achieve an idiosyncratic texture. The pieces are then sand cast in solid aluminum or bronze, and finished by hand in the studio. Because they are solid metal, they will endure through time and most conditions. The Seelie knob is part of a family that also includes an appliance handle and a pull.

Customizations: Can also be ordered in a brushed aluminum, brushed bronze, or blackened bronze finish for no additional fee, though no photos are currently available of those finishes; email us to discuss.
