Antoni Gaudí
Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926) is among the most internationally famous Spanish architects, and his unorthodox approach is considered ground-breaking to this day. He was closely involved with all the decorative elements of his projects, including hardware and furniture.
Gaudí’s hardware was the first of the architect’s decorative works to be reproduced. Before BD Barcelona begun to reproduce his furniture, the company collaborated with architect David Ferrer on the reproduction of various hardware elements designed by Gaudí for his renowned residential projects: Casa Calvet, Casa Batlló, and Casa Milà, also known as La Pedrera.
