Helder Barbosa is a designer who lives and works in Paris. Drawn to minimalist forms and clean lines, his approach is guided by a desire to get to the essentials. He explores the potential of each material, their finishes and techniques, to find the right aesthetic balance. Barbosa was originally trained as a cabinet maker, but over the last 10 years, he's worked in various workshops to learn how to create with different materials, from wood to steel, aluminum, brass, and resin. While his primary role now is designing, he still enjoys going into the workshop to experiment and develop his ideas before working with craftsmen to bring them to life.
