Maha Alavi is a Tokyo-based Canadian furniture and hardware designer whose work is informed by her prior training in philosophy and psychology. Alavi takes much of her inspiration from travel, and the construction of cultural archetypes through design. Time spent in cities so connected to both industry and nature has made her particularly attuned to detail and balance in her design process.

She began designing hardware in 2019, and launched her own studio in early 2023.
