The Perfect Nothing Catalog is a long project with lots of parts conceived by New Jersey-based Frank Traynor. It has been many things, including a junk shop in an abandoned shack in Brooklyn, a mirrored swimming pool in Fort Tilden, a bootleg Beach Boys t-shirt line sold in Miami, and — most recently — a stone and metal home goods production company. All of the stones used in Traynor's pieces are collected by him, from beaches or flea markets or gravel driveways, and all of the metal base objects are collected or reproduced from found objects.
