Working under the studio moniker The Perfect Nothing Catalog, Frank Traynor meticulously hand-brazes various stones and shells to metal goods, elevating mundane everyday objects into rarified functional artworks. All of the stones used in Traynor's pieces are collected by him, from beaches or flea markets or gravel driveways, and all of the metal base objects are collected or reproduced from found objects. Each piece is available in two distinct metal patterns — smooth metal, as seen here on purple and multi neutral, and textured metal, as seen on the others — and multiple stone color choices, though the exact stones you receive will be random and will not look exactly like what's pictured here.
