UBR Studio's Umberto Bellardi Ricci is a German-Italian architect, sculptor, and designer based in New York. After years of teaching at avant-garde schools such as the Architectural Association in London and Cornell University in New York, he established his studio in 2019 and launched his first collection of sculptural furniture, pairing off-the-shelf materials with carefully crafted details and inspired in part by the Manhattan skyline. 

The designer is currently working on a series of furniture and interiors projects in New York, London, Paris, and Milan as he prepares for his second solo exhibition of sculptural furniture pieces and light sculptures. His Lacrimare knob for Petra is his first foray into hardware.
