Jan Ankiersztajn is a Polish designer and artist working across collectible design, sculpture, and functional objects. After graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2016, he established his independent practice in Poznan, where he creates objects that merge sculptural expression with material-driven experimentation. Working primarily with aluminum, he combines traditional metal shaping techniques with self-developed and experimental processes.

Since 2020, he has refined a proprietary method of constructing objects from sheet aluminum; every stage of the process, from concept and construction to forming, welding, casting, and finishing, is carried out by the artist himself. His hardware series for Petra is made with an entirely different method — casting — using offcuts from that process.
